Unlike most isometric protagonists, being in Timur's party provides significant, tangible benefits. They mostly apply in combat, but can have out of combat effects too. Here's a list, because it's probably going to come up!

* +2 item slots and 50% extra healing item effectiveness
* +2 readied spell slots
* +15% increased damage with all attacks
* +1 to all attributes when within 3m, and an additional +2 Resolve
* +5% health returned when killing an enemy

Some of these may not take effect depending on how metaphysics works, or might be modified, but they're cool to play with and I'm easy.

One of the best things about Tyranny's party system is the fact that every party member gets a set of Cool Combo Attacks with the main character. This is a subset of the same system that gives him powers for increasing his reputation with other organizations, and works basically the same way: characters get one combo attack for joining the party/establishing a social link, and a second one for hitting midway up either the Loyalty or Fear scale (about midway through the social link, in a positive or negative direction). It's entirely possible to have both -- if you play firmly in your convictions, you'll probably have at least one party member who has both their Loyalty and Fear abilities, no matter which path you end up playing through.

Because everyone loves combo attacks and they're fun to play with, this post is for interested parties to work them out! The ingame examples are pretty diverse, and I'm easy and love this stuff, so hopefully we can think of something cool.

PB: Tentatively Booboo Stewart (yes, really)

Background: War Mage
Starting style: Lightning, Atrophy
Conquest: Bastard City (Infiltrate->bribe a guard captain->incite riots), Apex (kill mages->send a message with the captain->negotiate peace), Vellum Citadel (order the Chorus to cover the retreat->grant scrolls to the Chorus->give a day's warning before proclaiming the Edict)

Game route: Disfavored->Anarchist via a route that doesn't exist in the game but whatever, it's RP, I do what I want.

Prologue: sided with Disfavored in general, though talked the rebel captain into giving himself up to the Voices of Nerat in exchange for his men's lives. Started on the Disfavored path, working with Graven Ashe.

Blade Grave: smashed through the Unbroken with Disfavored help, killed the Regent, found the loophole in the inheritance laws to save Amelia's daughter and brought them both back to Iron Hearth. Found the runestones for Sage Hieronymous, earning him some favor.

Lethian's Crossing: cleared out the Bronze Brotherhood, though earned some respect from Welby in the process. Killed Raetommon, freed Zdenya, gave the Helm to the town to fulfill its intended purpose.

Stone Sea: Helped the Earthshakers and wiped out the Stone Stalkers, but exerted his authority to free Left-Claw and basically call the citizens of Halfgate a bunch of bigoted dicks (which is true). Broke from the Disfavored path here (which for some reason you can't do in the actual game) when he realized they were going to permanently destroy the region's fertility and crushed their encampment (with sincere regret; he liked the Earthshaker brothers), killing Cairn without completing the Rite of Fallowing. Got a letter from Bleden Mark shortly thereafter, met up with him and was sent to the Burning Library.

Burning Library: As usual, ripped his way through the Chorus gangs without participating in their creepy game bullshit, recruiting some Sages along the way. Swapped the Steadfast Insignia for the Silent Archive, ending the Edict of Fire without destroying the Library.

Endgame: Unleashed an Edict of Storms to repel a Scarlet Chorus assault. Obeyed Bleden Mark's summons before reporting to Tunon, and accepted the price of his help. Accused the Voices of Nerat of responsibility for the failed conquest, successfully proved his case, and delivered the sentence personally; then went to see Graven Ashe and despite a valiant attempt to negotiate, was forced to kill him too. Proved his own innocence in Tunon's trial and accepted him and Bleden Mark into his service. On hearing of the approaching Archon of Ruin, unleashed the Edict of Night on Kyros's capitol.

General notes: Tends to investigate thoroughly and judge fairly when called on, with a lean towards mercy when he can get away with it legally. Prefers to solve situations peacefully if he can, but entirely willing to use lethal force if he can't. Fiercely loyal once his loyalty is given, and he loves his Court "family" (including murderuncle and justicedad), but some things he won't stand for. Tends to [remain silent] rather than [glare silently] but he can use the latter to devastating effect.

Combat notes: Focused on Magic and Leadership, with a dip into Power and Range. Wrath abilities from Stone Stalkers, Scarlet Chorus, Unbroken, Bronze Brotherhood, lesser Sage, lesser Vendrian Guard; Favor abilities from Forge-Bound, lesser Sage, lesser Disfavored. Uses Staff of Cairn, Hierarch's Robes, Silent Archive, Banner of Stalwart, Binding of Shadows
